Summer of Joy

The Kashiwa Matsuri Festival brings everyone out on the streets. During the festival days, the whole city center is packed with food, drinks, and Kashiwa-related products. Japanese women and men wear traditional summer yukata and geta. You hear music everywhere. Musicians play live music in the streets and Kashiwa-inspired songs sound from the speakers. The main stage in front of the Kashiwa station East exit is always lively with performances. From Brazilian music and dance to traditional Japanese performances progressing through the streets. Japanese and foreigners, everyone enjoys these days of coming together and celebrating their city and their home, Kashiwa.
