Taking a boat tour on Lake Teganuma, you float on the water surrounded by nature. Even during high summer, when the sun is shining in full and Japan’s humidity makes you sweat without moving a finger, on the water a refreshing wind is ever-present. The boat moves forward, and small splashes of water cool your face. Fish coming downstream for a visit from the Tone river, jump out of the water right next to you as if they want to play and race with your boat. The tour continues through a lotus field and suddenly you can see nothing but plants and smell the fresh leaves and water, leaving you in awe of the beauty of nature. Returning to the shore, at Michi-no-Eki Shounan (Roadside Station) you can enjoy a meal while gazing at Teganuma lake or cool off with a delicious soft-serve ice cream offered in several rare flavors. How about blueberry, made from Kashiwa grown blueberries?
